1. What is clothing / Garments ?

Ans:   The fabric, Which is taking different shape as per body measurement of human being by cutting &                 sewing called clothing. It protects body from adverse climate,
          Which is also used for decoration & identification etc.

2. What is design ?

Ans: In clothing industry design means determining the shape of each part of a garment.

3. What is invoice ?

Ans: It is one kind of documents which contains the information about selling items. Normally there are two           types of invoice .............

        a. Proforma Invoice : It is needed at primary stage of any order for opening L/C.
b. Commercial Invoice: It is needed at final stage of any order for asking payment from buyer.

4. What is Sample ? Define different type of Sample.

Ans : The sample which is come from buyer and it is followed for bulk production called sample. In garments           industry, There are different type of sample. If you want to more about sample click hare.

5. What is allowance ?

Ans: In case of garments making some additional measurements are added with standard body measurement ( Basic Pattern ) which is called allowances.

6. What is Back-Tracking ?

Ans : During sewing it needs to start or end it. To secure the starting & ending point few stitched are given              towards back which is termed as back tracking.

7.What is blind stitch ?

Ans : A particular type of stitch which is not visible from the face side of the garment .

8. What is disposable garments ?

Ans : The garment which is used for one time only called disposable garments e.g: Medical Garments.

9. What is Interlining ?

Ans: A layer of special type of fabric which is used between two layer of fabric to give the particular area              desired shape and to enhance the strength of that particular position which is called Interlining e.G:                 Interlining for colar, Interlining for cuff.

10. What are the type of interlining ?

Ans:    a. Saw able Interlining
           b. Fusible Interlining.
